October 2, 2022 - “Raga and Beyond" Sitar Concert!
Gurukul Canada invites all Indian Classical Music enthusiasts to a unique musical experience as the Sitar Maestro Guru Pandit Harvinder Sharma & his disciple Sharanjeet Singh Mand present their music with impeccable style, creating a transcendent musical experience for all on Sunday, October 2 at 5:30 pm at Michael J. Fox Theatre.
Gurukul Canada Foundation is a non-profit organization that endeavors to provide a platform for music enthusiasts and students and youth to share their talent, build musical strength & nourish values in our community. Gurukul Canada is showcasing its signature event “RAGA and BEYOND" where the Sitar Maestro, Pandit Harvinder Sharma, (a disciple of legendary Ustad Vilayat Khan Sahab) will enthrall his audience by making his Sitar sing while playing and singing with his instrument. Panditji will be joined by his disciple, Sitar virtuoso Sharanjeet Singh Mand & Tabla prodigy Sunny Matharu, a disciple of Tabla Maestro Pandit Yogesh Samsi.
Pandit Harvinder Sharma, a visiting artist from India is exceptionally gifted and versatile in playing and singing the most soulful music charged with intense romantic appeal! Panditji has won many hearts over the Indian subcontinent and internationally and his voice is described as fascinating and full of radiance!
