If this objective aligns with your interests\, please support the concert.\n\n\n\nTo support this event you can:\n\n Purchase tickets for yourself or as gifts for clients\n\n Purchase advertising in the 8 " X 11" glossy concert program (contact George Pedersson at gpederss@direct.ca or 604-809-1157)\n\n\n\nTickets can be ordered online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/226802 or by phone 24/7 at 1-800-838-3006.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe concert includes award-winning instrumental soloists on piano\, cello and Kayagum (traditional Korean stringed instrument)\, as well as traditional Korean drumming\, a junior symphony and both a junior and adult mixed choir. Only 2-3 songs will be Korean. There will also be a demonstration of ballroom dancing by two young\, highly-ranked dancers. It will be a wonderful and highly entertaining evening!\n\n\n\nThe purpose of the concert is to make a positive contribution to promoting peace and goodwill amongst all cultures in our community\, so that immigrants can feel more at home here and connected to society. Research shows that a poor sense of connectedness to society is a significant issue for many immigrants\, leading to a deterioration in their health\, poor English ability\, underemployment and a limited quality of life.\n\n\n\nThe first step to increasing connectedness and have a major positive impact on their lives is mutual appreciation and greater understanding. This concert is a start in that direction. Everyone wins!\n\n\n\nThis year\, the talent of the Korean community is highlighted and portrayed in a way the general public may not normally see Koreans. There is truly a passion for excellence\, a joy of performing and an appreciation of the arts\; positive attributes most people admire.
