SUMMARY:November 7\, 2017 - The Psychology of Persuasion and Influence - Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The only common core competency of some of the most critical things we do in life is Influence. Be it in leadership\, parenting\, negotiating\, conflict resolution\, sales or team building\, "when we are communicating we are influencing\, and we are being influenced." Participants in this workshop will learn and start using 6 key principles in business and everyday life situations to more effectively influence and persuade others to their point of view.\n\n\n\nThis workshop is facilitated by Tim McKinnon of Stride Business Coaching. \n\n\n\nTim's 30+ years experience in business started when he accepted a job with Simpsons Sears as a management trainee after graduating from BCIT with a marketing diploma in 1968. In 1973 he moved into the distribution side of the consumer electronics industry where he remained until starting his own business. Tim has been coaching and mentoring as a Sales Manager\, Branch Manager and General Manager of national and international consumer electronics distribution companies for more than 25 years in three provinces across Canada. And if that wasn't competitive enough in 1993 Tim started and grew a national PC distribution company to over 17.0M in revenue in 13 years. In September of 2007 Tim decided to make coaching his full time occupation when he became a licensed business coach with The Professional Business Coaches Alliance headquartered in Canton Ohio.
