DESCRIPTION:The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is committed to hearing feedback from small and medium businesses and accountants. The CRA uses your valuable insights to make its programs and services more streamlined and client-focused.\n\n\n\n2018 Serving You Better Consultations with small and medium businesses\n\nBuilding on the success of the 2016 consultations\, the CRA will be holding consultations across Canada with small and medium businesses and accountants in the fall of 2018.\n\nThe CRA will hold face-to-face sessions in cities across Canada with small and medium businesses and accountants. The CRA will be looking for feedback on the service improvements it has made to date and on new planned initiatives to ensure they meet the needs of small and medium businesses\, as well as suggestions on ways to better serve the business community. \n\nFor more information on how the CRA is serving businesses better\, or to register\, go to\n\nCanada.ca/cra-serving-you-better.  Those who are unable to attend in person will be able to share feedback online at cra-engage-arc.ca. \n\n2016 Serving You Better Consultations with small and medium businesses\n\nIn the fall of 2016\, the CRA partnered with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) to host consultation sessions across Canada.\n\nSmall and medium business and accountants told the CRA that they want the Agency to:\n\n	Modernize and raise awareness of the CRA's digital services\n	Make tax information easier to access\, understand\, and use\n	Clarify information about payment options\n	Improve services related to the audit\, collections\, and appeals processes\n\nIn response to the 1\,500 comments and suggestions heard throughout the consultations\, the CRA developed an action plan and report that outlines concrete and meaningful actions to improve services for small and medium businesses from now through 2019.\n\n\n\nTop 10 things businesses and their service providers will be able to do\, thanks to Serving You Better:\n\n\n	Receive a CRA security code by email\n	Call a new dedicated telephone service for tax preparers that helps with more complex technical issues\n	Request a Liaison Officer visit\n	Provide T4 information slips to employees in electronic format (certain conditions apply)\n	Use T2 Auto-fill through commercial software\n	Create their own filing and balance confirmation letters online\n	View short "how-to" videos that explain the services on My Business Account\n	Experience telephone service improvements as the CRA transitions to the Government of Canada telephony platform over the next four years\n	Share feedback about their audit experiences in a new post-audit survey\n	Resolve objections faster
