Position: Part-Time Medical Office Assistant (MOA)
Location: Surrey, BC
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Role Type: Part-Time (with potential to transition to Full-Time)

 
We are a rapidly growing cardiology clinic in the heart of Surrey looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our patient-focused team. In this role, you will act as the face of our clinic while actively assisting our cardiologist.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and record resting ECGs.
  • Attach, detach, and initialize Holter monitors for patients.
  • Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, weight, etc.).
  • Prepare and sanitize examination and testing rooms between appointments.
  • Greet patients in a professional, empathetic manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, patient bookings, and appointment confirmations.
  • Maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) accurately.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing referrals, medical faxes, and lab reports.
  • Manage clinic inventory, stock medical supplies, and ensure overall office tidiness.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program or equivalent experience.
  • Clinical background or prior cardiology experience.
  • Familiarity with local EMR software.
  • Exceptional communication skills with high attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. 
  • Due to the demographics of the patient population, fluency in Punjabi language is desired.
